CALL FOR PAPERS
Interested persons are invite to submit papers which report significant research results, findings or advances in abalone fisheries and aquaculture.
Symposium sessions will include the following topic areas: 1. International abalone trade 2. Fisheries management 3. Aquaculture technology 4. Larval biology and settlement 5. Pathology and disease 6. Nutrition and feeding 7. Genetics 8. Physiology 9. Biochemistry 10. Ecology 11. Biotechnology 12. Harvests and processing 13. Other related topics
Papers from this symposium will be peer-reviewed and published in the Journal of Shellfish Research. |

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PREPARATION
POSTER SIZE: 90 cm wide and 120 cm high. EQUIPMENT: Organizer will provide boards and supplies that are necessary for mounting and displaying your posters. POSTER TITLE: The poster title and authors should be 2.5 cm in height. DISPLAY TIME: Posters will be displayed on 20-22 July 2009, at 10:00-17:00. All authors are required to be at the poster during poster session on 21 July at 13.30-15.00, which is dedicated to poster viewing Poster installation will be on 19 July 2009 at 13:00-20:00. Please unmount your poster at 17:00-19:00 on Wednesday 22 July 2009. Any poster left there after 19:00 on Wednesday will be discarded. POSTER LOCATION: Napalai E.

ABSTRACT PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION
All submitted abstracts for oral/poster presentations must be in the following format: - FONT: Use only 12-point Times New Roman font. No bold typeface. Abbreviations should only be used after first spelling the word out in full with the abbriviation in parentheses.
- TITLE: Title: The abstract title should be in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS, with the exception of scientific names, which should be ITALIC UPPER case. Scientific names should not be preceded or followed by commas or parentheses or other markings. Leave a blank line between the title and the authors.
- AUTHORS: Full names of authors should be in BOLD UPPER. Indicating the presenting author,
with an asterisk (*). - AFFILIATIONS: Affiliations of all authors should start with the new line following the authors' names. Leave no blank line between authors and their affiliations. Leave a blank line between the affiliations and the body of the abstract.
- ABSTRAT TEXT: Text of the body of the abstract should not be indented and justified. Figures and tables should not be included.
